Here lies objects from a far away land that act as guidance posts for lost travellers, calling them home.
Their luscious, alluring, seductive appearance lures foreigners in and provides safe passage.
They are rich in power and sacred objects of the peculiar land they exist within.
During the residency Erin sought to explore notions of connectedness with land and references ancient folklore and myth. She invites curiosities about alien soil and magic spells, attempting to replicate memories of mystical dreams. The ceramic objects are hoping for associations with glowing mushrooms, fire flies and underwater phosphorescence.
These ceramics are hoping (wishing and dreaming) of being glazed in the near future...
